Which is nice but still weird in the sense that my mind is expecting fall like weather. In my mind it should be wet leaves, cold air, and pumpkins just about everywhere you look. But in Arequipa, Peru it is about to turn summer and the air is warm and dry. Gotta re-adjust to the new order of the seasons.

But the Good news is that I have final met all of Team Tacna. There is 10 individuals so far from the states, that have committed to giving a little over 2 year to Extreme and the expansion of God Kingdom. In another Blog I will introduce them, but for now I ask that you keep me and them in your prayers. We need prayer for language school and culture shock.

But in this first month I have been going to language school in the morning and shadowing/training with 40/40s that are stationed in Arequipa. I have to give a shout out to Vanessa Ayersman, who is a 40/40 from West Virginia . In this past month I have witnessed and helped these Vanessa and other 40/40s in there existing ministries around Arequipa. Not even 2 weeks ago I have witnessed a planting of a church in an area that did not have one. Today I will be leading worship (in spanish) there and helping to form this church in the next 6 months while I am still in training.

Another event that I had the opportunity to help with was a church concert that is located close to several colleges and secondary schools. This Church also just happens to double as the language school that I am currently attending and is also the church of my Peruvian pastor that over sees my language and missionary training. But what makes this event special to me is the fact that we had this concert on a Friday night and was able to draw in Juevens(single teenagers/adults) from the street. I guess I should paint a picture of what is actually going on. The church is surrounded by four techno-discos(clubs). And unlike in the states the run from 10am-2am monday- saturday, It would be like having a church on Hight St., Morgantown except that you can hear the music playing all day because of the thinner walls used in Peru. This concert six Juevens answered the calling at the end of the event. And wanted to know Jesus as there savior. Its six more for Gods Kingdom and well worth it.

I plan to blog regularly and ask that you keep me in your prayers.
